1) For my thesis I’m looking for resources related to “glory” in Paul. I’ve found a few resources, but they all date to the early 1990’s and seem to focus upon 1 passage. If you have come across anything, could you pass it along to me? I’m looking particularly into Romans and 2 Corinthians, and would prefer something that treats the topic thematically. I’m sure it’s out there but I don’t want to waste anymore time searching.
2) This is more of long shot, but does anyone have a Word template based on the SBL/JBL style book? I was considering pulling one together since I couldn’t find one through Google, Endnote, or SBL’s site. But I assumed like above one’s got to be out there somewhere.
Thanks!

No help here, but if you find one, please post a link to it; that would definately be a sweet resource!

Schreiner’s Paul text focuses on the twin themes of God’s glory and suffering in Paul (2001), and his Romans comm argues that God’s glory is the main theme of the letter. On glory in 2 Cor see Tim Savage, Power Through Weakness, which focuses on ch. 3-4, where shame and glory are in the foreground; George Davis’ diss on boasting in 2 Cor 10-13; Käsemann reflects on the paradoxical admixture of suffering and glory in both Christ and Paul, and of Paul’s consequent apostolic legitimacy, in Die Legitimität des Apostels; Marvin Pate, The Glory of Adam and the Afflictions of the Righteous: Pauline Suffering in Context. I’m doing a thm thesis on 2 Cor right now.

Thanks Dane! I’m looking at glory as essentially a divine attribute that humans participate in. Do you know of a particular section in Schreiner’s work where he discusses that connection? Something on 2 Cor 3.18 for instance would be most helpful and his stuff on 264-465 seemed to skim over the (dramatic?) importance of humans sharing in God’s glory.
Would you recommend any of these that would be the best place to start? I need something short and quick for a summary that I’m doing, and then will hit the rest of these in due course. Again, thanks!
