After joining the blogging world, I thought I was up to date on the major internet waves. But I suppose now that I’m 33 I should realise that I’m just going to be behind in most internet things. We’ve heard enough friends talking about Facebook that I finally set up an account. In under a week, I’ve already connected with a handful of old friends that I had lost touch with so I’m pleased so far. I suppose it’s a time eater like blogging, so I’ll have to watch myself since one of my new year’s resolutions is to be more selective with my internet time. Look me up if you are on there.

Ben,
You should join the Ancient World Bloggers Group on Facebook, that is if you haven’t already : )

Ben,
I know exactly what you mean about feeling behind on emergent technologies and social networking. Its sort of a necessary evil, I guess. Also, I can relate to your resolution about online time management. You should check out this youtube video if you would like to consider these issues with respect to your future as an educator: http://youtube.com/watch?v=dGCJ46vyR9o

I know what you mean. As you continue to add friends into your network, the closer you are to finding those you lost touch with AND faster. You will find as you approach a large number of ‘connections” suddenly it feels like, when it rains, it pours. You start rekindling so many relationships, you feel connected and becomes very exciting. I have rekindled more than 13 relationships in the last two months whom are people that range from all my walks in life (from highschool, through and after college, etc).
