Ben, I just realised HOW “conservative” your views on theosis actually is given a new monograph on the same topic that arrived here at Tyndale House. The guy takes you on quite a bit and mentions personal correspondance between you two … personally, I feel more comfortable with your take on theosis in Irenaeus and Clement than the other guy 🙂

Yeah, I guess I am on some issues. I suppose the basic difference is whether is there is a creator-created distinction in Paul’s mind. I say yes, he says no. It definitely exits by the second century. How’s your work coming along? I told you Mike Licona will be teaching here at Houston Baptist starting this autumn?
